Admissions Procedures

Nursery Admissions

We are delighted that you are considering Elmsleigh Infant and Nursery school for your child’s pre-school education.

At our nursery children are able to start the term after they have turned 3 years old. We offer afternoon sessions Monday – Friday for 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week.

If you would like further information, please get in touch with the school office who will put in you contact with a member of our nursery team. We are always happy to help and welcome you to come and have a look around the setting and meet our wonderful team.

If you would like to apply for a nursery space please fill in the application form. Upon receiving your form we will be in touch to advise if your child has a space or if we are operating a waiting list.

If your child’s name is added to our waiting list we will be in touch if a place becomes available. If this is the case a member of staff will contact you to discuss if you still require a nursery place. If you do require a place, arrangements will be made for your child to start our nursery at the beginning of the following term.

Please visit our Admissions Policy.

Please remember that if your child attends our Nursery you still need to make a new application with Derbyshire County Council to request a school place with us in Reception. Children do not transfer automatically.

If your child has Special Educational Needs either suspected or diagnosed, please ask to speak to our SENDCO Mrs Powell when you ring, to arrange a meeting with her when you come to look round.

If you have any questions please feel free to call us any time 01283 216 883.
