Spring Term Highlights

🌄 Year 2 Residential at Standon Bowers

Our Year 2 children had an unforgettable outdoor adventure at Standon Bowers!
Nineteen pupils took part in bouldering, caving, shelter building, blindfold trails and a campfire evening. Their teamwork, enthusiasm and resilience were outstanding — they represented our school beautifully.

🏊‍♀️ Rainbows and Tigers Swimming

Well done to all the children in Rainbows Class and Tigers Class who have been attending swimming lessons this term. The children have shown brilliant progress, growing in water confidence, practising key techniques and learning vital water‑safety skills.

🌱 Exciting Outdoor Learning Area Developments

We are delighted to share that we have exciting plans to further develop our outdoor learning area over the Easter break.

These improvements will help us create:

  • Even more opportunities for hands‑on outdoor learning
  • A space that encourages exploration, imagination and teamwork
  • A calm, nature‑rich environment to support wellbeing
  • New areas for problem‑solving, construction and sensory experiences

We can’t wait for the children to return after the holidays and explore the new features. More information (and photos!) will be shared with families once the work is complete.

🎀 Easter Bonnet Parade

To celebrate the end of a very busy term, the children took part in our Easter Bonnet Parade.
There was an amazing variety of creative and colourful bonnets on display — from springtime themes to imaginative characters and beautifully decorated designs. The children proudly showcased their creations as they paraded around the hall and playground, much to the delight of staff and families.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and thank you to families for supporting the children with their wonderful designs.
