Headteacher’s Blog
Dear Parents & Carers
This term, we embraced cultural awareness with Chinese New Year celebrations and focused on online safety during Safer Internet Day. Children’s Mental Health Week provided a wonderful opportunity for us to promote wellbeing, while our Rainbows class thrived in Forest Schools, connecting with nature. Meanwhile, Tigers class enjoyed their swimming lessons, building confidence in the water.
In terms of sustainability, we marked World Wetlands Day and participated in the RSPB Big School Birdwatch, fostering a love for our environment among our students.
Our academic progress has been remarkable! The Read Write Inc phonics programme is helping our children become confident readers. Our talented artists are developing their self-portrait skills, and Key Stage 1 students created fabulous instructional writing to make jam sandwiches. Butterflies class embarked on exciting mini beast quests, showcasing their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
With so many wonderful achievements in such a short half term, we look forward to even more exciting plans as we approach Easter. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the school calendar on Reach More Parents and share our Facebook page to celebrate our children’s accomplishments with friends and family.
Lastly, nursery places for September are filling up quickly, so please contact the school if you’d like to reserve a spot!
Miss Jodie Bailey (Head of School)
